The Hepworth Ferguson 4 wheel-drive that won the British Hillclimb championship in 1969 and 1971 driven by David Hepworth had only its second outing since David last drove it in 1976.
Although still running the tyres that took the championship in 71, Davids younger son Stephen managed 2nd in Class in the wet and slippy conditions on Saturday although felt there was still much time to come with tweeks to the unique gearbox which refused to go into 4th gear on the long straight.
Unfortunatly on Sunday a CV joint failure resulted in a clip with the bales for Andrew on his second run and the damage to the suspension couldnt be repaired on site.
All at hepworth International would like to thank the organisers, marshalls etc for a fantastic event and would encourage it to be added to your diary for next year.
